Georgia Bulldogs transfer Sahvir Wheeler is one of the best guards to hit the transfer portal as of late.

As a true sophomore, Wheeler led the SEC in the assists and was fourth nationally. He also averaged 14 points per game for the Bulldogs and Tom Crean.

According to Jeff Borzello, Kentucky has reached out to Wheeler, along with a slew of other schools. Wheeler also told ESPN that he would like to play for a title contending team and that he plans on cutting his list down in a week or so.

Wheeler has heard from Kentucky, Gonzaga, Michigan, Kansas, Oklahoma State, LSU, Oregon State, Stanford, Wichita State, and Texas.

With Kentucky loading up on shooters, bringing in a distributing point guard is a fantastic option. Wheeler is proven to be able to play and distribute the ball in the SEC, and immediately becomes one of the most must-get options for Kentucky if they want him.

Wheeler could be a missing piece that Kentucky is currently lacking until Davion Mintz and TyTy Washington make their decisions.

In Wheeler’s last game as a Bulldog, he put up 14 points and 13 assists in an SEC Tournament loss to Missouri.
