Isaiah Jackson committed to the Kentucky Wildcats back in November of 2019, after weighing options between the Wildcats, Alabama, and Michigan State.

Jackson may have the potential to be one of the more explosive players on this Wildcats team, if you ask Jon Rothstein. Rothstein believes that Jackson will have a “big role for the Wildcats, regardless if Olivier Sarr is eligible or not.”

Jackson was ranked as the No. 30 overall player, according to 247 Sports, but Jerry Meyer believes that Jackson is a first-round pick based on his athleticism and defensive prowess as a rim protector.

Rothstein has been on the money when it comes to evaluating UK players over the past few seasons. Rothstein was high on both Tyler Herro and Immanuel Quickley over the past two seasons, both of whom ended up having huge seasons, with Herro becoming a lottery pick and Quickley becoming SEC Player of the Year.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Isaiah Jackson as a starter alongside BJ Boston, Terrence Clarke, Keion Brooks, and (hopefully) Olivier Sarr on opening night.
