Wednesday, a new court filing surfaced with Gina Ford, Zion Williamson’s former agent, claiming that Zion also received cars and housing from Duke, and was “permanently ineligible” to be a student-athlete while attending Duke.
Ford also claimed that testimony from Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski is warranted after Kryzyewski went on-record and said that providing a player’s family member is “just a business decision.”
Ford also cites text messages between Nike reps and officials discussing potential payments for Zion back in 2017. Duke is a Nike school.
Ford also cites evidence of a wiretapped conversation between Merl Code and Kansas assistant coach Kurtis Townsend just a year before Zion would play college ball, regarding that “monies were offered to Zion to attend Kansas University.” Kansas is an Adidas school.
Ford and her attorney also pointed toward the very much improved living situation that Zion and his family experienced. Before attending Duke, Zion and his family lived in a rental property in South Carolina, valued at roughly $153,000, renting for about $895 per month. While attending Duke, Zion and his family lived in a property valued at roughly $950,000 and rent was $4,995.00 per month.
Ford also points to three luxury vehicles owned by Zion’s step-father and mother as means to justify discovery to “determine if these vehicles would have impacted his eligibility to be/remain a student-athlete.”
This comes just days after Zion was granted a stay that said he would not have to testify in his own defense, but is now met with whether he and/or his parents received benefits to play at Duke.

Who knows with dook. k's name got mentioned today by Ford. If things go like they should (no agreement for cash settlement) this could get interesting … but I will believe it when I see it.

"""Ford also claimed that testimony from Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski is warranted after Kryzyewski went on-record and said that providing a player’s family member is “just a business decision.”""
Can you believe the gall of this man?? A business decision instead of providing things to a basketball player that isn't offered to the regular students of Duke???
If this is true and he gets away with it the NCAA is finished. Every school will start offering the parents of these kids a fortune to attend their schools. And all they have to do is reference the Duke case and not have to say any more. This is the same as the envelope that came open when Casey sent the $$$$ to the parent in the case that got UK on probation.
I thought coach K was a lot smarter than this but it looks like he is as big a dumb ass as it gets. Wonder how many times he has set up business decisions with other parents?? I am really astounded if this has been what he has said. He should be banned from NCAA basketball and take away about half of his victories because they were probably gained thru ineligible players. Could the end of Duke basketball be at hand???

He's guilty. Just like Alabama moving Tua Tangalovia's whole family to the state of Alabama. Why wasn't that investigated?

They will claim private school and not turn over any documents. He will just say he didn't know anything about it and throw Capel under the bus !!! The house Zion lived in is owned by an alumni (but not a booster so as not to be a booster providing anything to a player or his family). 3 vehicles beside the almost 1 Million dollar house that rents for almost $5,000 a month.

Lets hope the NCAA don't look the other way on this and then say Sarr is not eligible to play this year. Unless the NCAA starts acting with some consistency they could start finding it hard to operate at all.
