We currently have 3 players averaging more than 26 pts per game. We also have 7 guys that are making good money right now but where will they be when their first contract runs out. Diallo, Gabriel, Johnson, Knox, Labissiere, Lyles and Vanderbilt.

Take the best 25 out of that list and you have five "very" good basketball teams.

Rondo still playing and he left in 2006, been playing 14 years in the NBA. That is longevity.

Just read an article on Vince Carter who has played 21 years in the nba and wants to still keep going. That is a lot of wear and tear on the body.

Carters first year in the NBA was the 1997 playing for the Jazz where he played in 5 games. This season he is playing limited minutes for the Atlanta Hawks at the age of 43.

What gets me is that there are quite a number of players on that list who, in my opinion, are not really talented basketball players. And then a guy years ago named Randolph Morris - 6'11", 250 pounds with skill - could never make an NBA roster. I'll always be puzzled about that.

CMD … you must have Vince mixed up with someone else. His last year at UNC was the 1997-1998 season and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the 5th pick in the 1998 draft and traded to Toronto for fellow Tar Heel Antawn Jamison and the 4th pick. He was named the nba Rookie of the Year and averaged 18.3 points a game for the Raptors.
He is playing for Atlanta this year and averaging almost 15 minutes a game in 52 games averaging 5 points a game.

Vince has been as good as they come over his career... crazy how long he has played in the nba and that is after 3 years in college, no one and done for him.
