We should win our next four games and be 25-5 heading into the SEC Tourney. By that time we could easily be ranked around #5 in the polls the way teams are dropping. If we win the SEC Tourney and end up 28-5, I don't know how we wouldn't be a #2 seed.

If we win the next 5 (I’m not convinced we will) I believe we get at least a 2 seed.
However if Duke can win 3 of their final games, that could change everything.

The best part would be to get into the NCAA and win some games and get to the 30 win season.

I think #3 Seed is going to be the highest UK gets. UK is currently #22 in the NET Rankings. It's crazy how the loss to Evansville has penalized UK more than the Duke's loss to SF Austin. Duke is #6 in the NET Rankings.
Michigan State, Texas Tech, and Louisville are all ahead of UK int he NET Rankings. It makes zero sense. [ 02-20-2020, 11:59 AM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

The NCAA NET ranking is a joke. Rankings by humans (Coaches poll, AP Poll) - those are objective. Some thought can be put into those. But the NCAA Net, if i'm correct, is a computer ranking. Our loss to Evansville was over 3 months ago!!!! Voters know that this Kentucky team is nowhere near the same team that lost to Evansville. That's why we're in the top-10 of those polls. The NET ranking should be similar to the golf handicap system - you don't go back very far when determining handicap. It's basically "what have you done for me lately". Our loss to Evansville shouldn't even be a thought.

PC,
I don’t disagree, but I believe the committee uses the net rankings as a guide when comparing teams now if I am not mistaken.

The AP poll has us ranked 10th and agree with Paul "if" we win out and that won't be easy but if we do we should be a number 2 seed. Time will tell.

The big difference with the Duke loss was Stephen F Austin has a 92 RPI compared to Evansville 269 RPI. Both were Quadrant 4 losses. But it's crazy how the media wants to shove that Evansville loss down our throats and hand us a low 3-4 seed. We could win out and win the SEC Tournament and still get a 3 seed. Jerry Palm has his Bracketology Updated through today and he has UK at a #5 seed.
He has over taken Joe Lunardi as the bracket expert. He has been very accurate not only in predicting the field the last several years, but he also gets 98% of the teams seeded with one position correctly. So for UK that is as high as #4 or as low as #6

A lot can happen in these next few weeks to impact the seedings. All we can do is keep winning and let the chips fall where they may.

Yeah, worrying about where we will be seeded right now is like a farmer worrying about the weather. There's not much future in it!

If we win the regular season and tournament championship, I believe we will get a 2 seed.
