Our free throw percentage was a impressive 84.2% {16-19}...For the season we are almost as impressive going 456-578 and a 78.9% which ranks "5th" in all of Div 1 basketball.

I didn't get to see the game. What seemed to be the big difference between the 2 halves? Saw we were losing by 9 at halftime.

The Cats shooting the 2nd half was far superior than in the first half.

Defensive activity was way different between the two halves. Early in the second, we ran them off the three point line and forced some drives into the lane where Nick got three blocked shots in like the first three minutes. That caused a few forced threes by Vandy and once they had missed a few, it was much easier to defend. They got rattled by the run and the rest was history.

When you get a team rattled by your defensive play usually it will pick up your play on the offensive end too.

Why can't we put two halves together? We either play good the first half and hold on in the second half, or we fall behind in the first and have to play catch up in the second half.

That is just the character of this team. Nothing like the '96 team that beat everyone by at least 20 points. I think the timing on our passes, defensive intensity and shooting accuracy at times are the 3 greatest faults of this group. With only 7 games left in this season, I don't look for them to put too many 40 minute games together. Hope I'm surprised!
