Agree 100% about the shot clock as I listened, very painfully to UK/UNC games on the radio back in the 60s.

As for the 3 point shot.....nah. Most probably one of a handful, but I don't like it. What I also don't like is the possession arrow....jump it up!

Not near as painful as the Cincinnati game where Turpin scored almost all of our points after they tried to hold the ball the whole game. I was in Rupp for that one.

Now the two worst changes in college basketball:

The restricted arc.
The video review.

Both of these are totally useless and add nothing to the game.

Amen on the video review. It is ruining the college game. Some announcer said to put a clock on them to make a decision....that would be a start.

Amen!!

The restricted arc in theory is great, but the refs can't apply it correctly so it is the WORST by far IMO. Just because a guy gets his feet outside of the restricted arc doesn't mean he was there before the offensive player left his feet or it doesn't mean he is in a set position to take a charge.

Both examples played out yesterday in the Texas Tech game. In the first half Maxey should have been granted the bucket and a free throw. The guy clearly had his feet outside of the arc, but he was turning his body and angling backwards to get the contact call. That is a block.

The other was on Quickly during the second half. He leaves his feet and THEN THE DEFENDER SLIDES under him. That is a block as you have to give the offensive player a place to land if you were not there prior to him leaving the floor.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.
