It sounds like Ashton Hagans will suit up when the Kentucky Wildcats face the Georgia Bulldogs.
According to The Athletic reporter Seth Davis, Hagans will play in Athens at 9pm EST on ESPN.
Hagans suffered a low-ankle injury in Saturday’s win over the Missouri Tigers. Initially, John Calipari sounded optimistic about Hagans returning sooner or later.
Then on Monday, Immanuel Quickley said Hagans was feeling good, while Joel Justus said the Georgia native would attempt to practice.
It certainly appears that Hagans’ injury was relatively minor and may ultimately not cost him anytime. As much bad injury luck as this team has had already, it would nice for this one to end up being nothing.
But if nothing else, Hagans should be back in action Saturday vs. Alabama if he’s unable to go as early as Tuesday. It’s just good to know it won’t sideline him for weeks, if not months, which was feared when he initially went down Saturday.
