I like Sestina's game. He has worked on his body and he plays really well on defense. Offensively, he can score from anywhere.
That man needs to be on the floor!

I agree. He will be a force for us. Tonights game wasn't much to talk about. The third quarter of the game was almost a complete waste. We shot like every team we have had in the past 7 years. Nothing would go in while state was getting closer. EJ will have to pick up his game or he will competing with Richards for bench time. Almost a waste for him tonight. Without Sestina this game would have been a lot closer. Don't know how many rebounds he got but he got a lot. Hagans was the man leading this team tonight and Quickly got some points. Maxie has a lot to learn but his drives will help him be on the floor. Never did see the 3 guards on the floor together. We only have 4 days before Michigan St. If we don't improve quick we will lose that game. That is unless Michigan St. plays as poorly as we did tonight. We are going to lose a few games along the way until our shooting improves.

Other than Hagan, I was not very impressed with our guards. There were three long passes or lobs attempted in transition that were just terrible. Our guards have some work to do to polish their game. One surprising good thing was we seemed to know how to play against a zone.
Shot selection was not terrible, although many (most) of our shots looked awkward somehow. Jujang was pretty nifty at the 3-point catch-and-shoot, but has a painfully low and slow release. He will get a lot of those blocked.
All in all, it looked like a preseason game. Tuesday will be ugly.

I'm inclined to agree with everything Tip said, including the one where he predicts us to get punished by State!

If I had to bet my money would be on State. We could turn it around and play a lot better against a good team, maybe? Quickley did alright as the top scorer. Maxie is fast but he has a lot to learn.
