With John Calipari having turned 60 this year, the speculation of when the Hall of Fame coach could retire has grown.
Many great coaches call it quits while in their 60s, though we’re seeing more and more great basketball coaches go well into their 70s, including Jim Boeheim, Mike Krzyzewski and Gregg Popovich among others.
Calipari’s latest tweet suggests he’s ready for another 10 special years in Lexington:
Spending a little time today thinking back but spending more time looking ahead. THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF MY SECOND TOUR AS THE HEAD COACH AT KENTUCKY!!! It’s exciting starting over! The last 10 years were a ball and I want the next 10 to be even better. Let’s go!!!!
