Quade Green is never one to mince words when he’s asked any question. His answers can be funny and insightful. Sometimes they can be blunt. But they are also always honest.
So I wondered how things are going with this year’s team?
“We love being around each other,” said the sophomore guard. “Bahamas trip set it off for us.”
That four-game exhibition trip to the Bahamas in August did showcase the talent the Cats have but Green said it was about more than just playing games.
“Last year’s team was not a bonding team. It was more of a work in progress,” Green said.
Not a bonding team?
“This year we have both (bonding and work in progress). Everybody already loves each other,” Green said. “Once the team fully bonds, nobody can beat us.
“It’s going to be about sharing the ball, being a good teammate. We don’t have no one person that has to be this or that. If one person scores, we all score. God gave you a blessing to be part of this team. Bond with the guys and put the grind in with the team and set everything up.”
