The Kentucky Wildcats have announced their SEC opponents for the 2018-19 college basketball season.
The list was revealed on Wednesday, as the SEC announced designations for all 14-member schools. It already includes Kentucky’s permanent home-and-away opponents in Florida, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
This upcoming season, the Wildcats will add 2017-18 regular-season co-champion Auburn and Mississippi State to it’s two-game slates. Auburn tied with Tennessee for the SEC regular-season championship last season, and Kentucky will get four cracks at them next season.
Kentucky’s league home schedule will include the five aforementioned teams as well as Arkansas, LSU, South Carolina and Texas A&M.
The Cats’ road matchups will come against Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Missouri in addition to Auburn, Mississippi State and the three permanent home-and-home opponents.
Times, dates and television information will be announced at a later date.
This adds to what’ already turned into a loaded 2018-19 schedule for the Wildcats, who already are set to face preseason top-10 teams Duke, Kansas and North Carolina. Auburn and Tennessee are also getting a lot of preseason love, so Kentucky could end up with seven top-10 matchups next season, not to mention teams like Florida, Mississippi State and LSU have gotten some top-25 hype.
