When Reid Travis announced that he would pursue a graduate transfer from Stanford, the rumor mill began churning that Kentucky was the heavy favorite.
And now, Travis is set to visit Kentucky, but he also plans to visit Villanova, according to Jon Rothstein.
Travis has long been rumored as a strong option for UK in the 2018-2019 season. He declared for the NBA Draft following his redshirt junior season at Stanford, in which he had his best season of his college career by averaging 19.5 ppg and 8.7 rebounds.
In 34 minutes per game, Travis shot 53 percent from the field and expanded his range to the perimeter, shooting 61 3-pointers, connecting on 18 of them.
Travis would bring a high-level of physicality and scoring ability to the Wildcats if added to next year’s roster, something that UK hasn’t had a lot of in the frontcourt the last couple seasons.
