Kentucky assistant Joel Justus was in for Arden (N.C.) Christ School 5-star combo guard Jalen Lecque Saturday, Lecque confirmed to CatsPause.com.
The ultra-athletic Lecque (6-4, 175) is ranked No. 12 overall in the 2019 class by the 247Sports Composite and currently holds offers from the likes of Florida, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, N.C. State, Oregon, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Villanova and Wake Forest among others.
Justus has been tracking Lecque for months now and watched him back in January. Kentucky head coach John Calipari was also slated to watch him in early February but Lecque was forced to miss the game with the flu.
The Wildcats received a commitment from 5-star junior point guard Ashton Hagans last week and are still targeting 5-star 2019 guard Tyrese Maxey as well, both of whom are considering reclassifying to 2018.
