No matter how you wrap this season it is still not going to look very nice........... that is unless this group manages to make the final four (dream on). Iam convinced that the fault lies in two areas; poor shooting and coaching. I'll let you be the judges on that.
With the following remaining schedule here is what may happen unless those two areas see a drastic change.
TN at home - underdog - could win or lose A&M away - even most likely will lose AU away - underdog most likely will lose AL home - even most likely will win AR away - favorite - most likely win MO home - favorite - most likely win MS home - favorite - most likely win FL away - underdog - most likely lose
That would be a 4-4 record which would finish us at 21-10. Not very good with the talent this team has. We may be the last one to get in come March.

Don't forget a loss in the SEC tourney.
I also wouldn't consider the Alabama game a definite win. They could easily walk out of Rupp with a W.

I saw Alabama totally dismantle Florida on the Gators home floor Saturday night, beat Florida by 16 points. They are somewhat like us,capable of beating anyone and capable of losing to anyone. I too think this team will end up with double digit losses but sure wish for a different outcome to this season. [ 02-05-2018, 03:27 PM: Message edited by: SCWC ]

If one is being honest, UK doesn't have a definite win on the schedule. They could very well lose all of their remaining games. They could also win the majority of them if they would decide to share the ball like they did during the second half against West Virginia.
I have a theory why they passed the ball against the Mountaineers: They were all too scared to have the ball in their hands for more than a second so they HAD to pass.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I'm not buying into Cal's excuse, not passing. I see a lot of passing when the guy gets open for a pass. The only time a lot of them get open it is outside the 3 pt line. Unless we win 3/4 of the remaining games Cal is still going to be harping on no passing. I'm here to tell you the biggest problem is no consistency in shooting. Which is what we knew coming into this season. We've also got to admit that the basketball IQ of this team may be the lowest since Cal arrived. I think all but a couple guys will test the NBA waters but all but 1 or 2 will return. If that's the case we may end up with an outstanding team next year. If only 2 or 3 return it will be a big disaster next year. I don't see us adding anyone with significant help after the 3 we already have on board for next year. Let's hope all three of them pan out.

The lack of assists shows how little this team passes the ball. I see guys open all the time in the offense and instead of making the pass they take a contested shot instead.
There was a point in the second half of the Missouri game where Cal put Vanderbilt in I believe just to get some ball movement. What does he do? Immediately drives and takes a contested jumper within 15 seconds of being in the game. You can see Cal on the sideline shaking his head and saying, "I put you in to pass the ball".

Very true, ukcatfannfl. It's hard to get assists when guys are missing dunks and throwing up bricks.
