Tennessee men’s basketball still is on the NCAA tournament bubble, but the Vols’ odds of making the field have slipped considerably.
The 76-75 loss to Georgia on Saturday cost Tennessee in one of the most important considerations the NCAA tournament selection committee uses when putting the field together — the Ratings Percentage Index, better known as the RPI.
Tennessee fell from No. 38 Saturday to No. 46 on Sunday after the loss to the Bulldogs, and the Vols are now behind other bubble teams such as: California 18-7,(34)
. TCU 17-8, (35)
. Northwestern 18-6, (40)
• Michigan State 15-10, (41)
• Kansas State 16-9, (42)
• Arkansas 18-7, (43)

UT will be sky-high knowing beating a ranked team like Kentucky would go along ways to making the NCAA tournament.

Last night ESPN had UT in the first-four-out column and Indiana in the last-four-in column, and that was before Indiana got beat. I'd love to see UT get in over Indiana.

Unless they win the big Ten tournament, I see no way this Indiana team gets in the tournament. The big ten is way down this year, not any better than our weak SEC.
