Who is the worst UK coach? I believe the overwhelming majority of UK fans would give the same answer to this simple question as Mr. Gray did: Billy Gillespie. The ill-fated hire was one of the worst administrative blunders in UK history.
Who was the Best Coach in UKBB history? This question could inspire more debate, discussion, and possibly argument. Adolph Rupp, Rick Pitino, and John Calipari are all HOF coaches. Each of these men spent their prime years at our legendary program. All three have a National Championship and multiple Final Fours. Yet, Mr. Gray cited longevity and gave the only truly correct answer. Mr. Adolph Rupp is his selection as the greatest coach in our storied history.

Since I've been a fan (1977), Cal is my pick as number one. Gillispie easily the worst. [ 07-16-2016, 11:57 AM: Message edited by: Old Norm ]

Rupp best, Gillispie worst. I know nothing about any of the coaches prior to Rupp but he is the one that put UK basketball on the map.
