Anderson admitted he never thought Ulis could be SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

“Rajon Rondo set the steals record and was not the player of the year. It’s tough. But he did it,” Anderson said.

Anderson says Ulis has that “innate leadership” few players possess and showed it when he got in Skal Labissiere’s face during a game when he was not playing well.

“I would have loved playing with him. Alley-oops, open jump shots,” Anderson said.

What about Ulis in the NBA?

“This league is not about size any more. It’s about mismatches. You can have a guy like Tyler and not even post him up that much. I think he can definitely play in the NBA,” Anderson said.

Ulis will definitely be drafted and get his shot at playing in the NBA. It's up to him how far he goes, it won't be easy but with Tyler's determination and ability he should have a good NBA career.
