The last really good D1 player out of Lexington went to Butler, because Tubby refused to recruit him. I wonder if and when a home town kid will play for the Cats. I am not talking about a bench warmer who only gets a few minutes a game.
I would think that one would land on the team every 10 years.
Dirk Minniefield, Melvin Turpin, and Jack Goose Givens. Have there been any other Lexington players that were stars? It has been a long time.
Nimbo Hammonds came out of Lexington and Pitino missed on him.....he was a baller..there was a kid that went to Cincy that shold have went to UK but wasnt offered,.....the same with Alvin Sims out of Paris that went to UL. [ 11-23-2015, 11:56 AM: Message edited by: boomdaddy ]
