How the 2015-2016 class stacks up playing against each other. Briscoe and Scal look awfully good but Jamal Murray would be the icing on the cake if we could sign him and Wynyard who is commited to the Cats wouldn't hurt either.(2nd semester)

Bruce, I don't see Wynyard helping us at all, even if he is at UK for four years. He is not that athletic and just does not have the natural basketball skills American players do. I only saw him in that one All Star game and I must admit I wondered why Cal had offered him a scholarship. He is in New Zealand and there is not a lot of basketball stars down there for him to compete against to improve his skill set. I sure do hope I am reading him totally wrong but must admit I was not at all impressed with him as an athlete or basketball players in that one All Star game.

Ray, To be perfectly honest I'm not impressed either but he is a big body and could possibly develop into some help off the bench. I think as it stands now he is in next years class but could qualify for this years class in the second semester but don't hold me to that as I have yet to confirm it.

I think we will be in great shape at the guard positions but am very concerned about big bodies to relive our starters this coming season. Hopefully Willis will get serious about basketball between now and next season and put forth the effort we need to make him a viable option. He has the skills, just needs to get the work ethnic to fine tune his natural abilities. You are right Bruce, front line back up players are really my biggest concern for next season as of right now. It would certainly be nice to add Murray but I doubt we will see that happening as he is projected for 2016. Cal does seem to do some of his best coaching when he has a very short bench however.

Cal may have a problem starting a new roster. He seems over anxious when he is starting to build his new roster. If you'll check back it seems he wastes his first signing just about every year. Not to say the first signee may improve by the time he puts 4 years in. But he doesn't seem to wait for a top player to be the first signee.
