When our players leave the program they are men and that can be attributed to Coach Cal and his teaching's on life!
So what was his three-year relationship like with coach John Calipari?
“He’s like a life teacher. He’s a life coach. He doesn’t just coach the game of basketball," said Cauley-Stein said. "He wants us to become men.
"It’s not all about basketball. It’s not all about wins. Regardless whether we won games or not, Coach Cal is still going to be Coach Cal. He’s still going to be really successful. He’s still going to do all the things he does.
"I think one of his biggest teaching moments is actually making us into young men and teaching us life skills to use when we’re done playing basketball, or when we take the next step.”

I think what WCS says is what sets Cal apart from other coachs and why he is so successful as a coach. When recruits hear this from former Cat players it has to be a help to our recruiting success.

This could be true but it's not happening here in the spring recruiting season at all.

Bama, that is a good point. Do you think opposing coachs who are signing some of these recruits we are missing out on by telling recruits that we had the best recruits in years and couldn't close the deal? Something has happened as we sure are not signing any of the better recruits since the end of the season.
