Mississippi State’s I.J. Ready had been listed as questionable entering tonight’s game as he suffers from an ankle injury he sustained in last week’s loss to Ole Miss. Ready sat out Saturday’s game against Arkansas and Rick Ray was unsure if his starting point guard would be able to go against Kentucky, when he spoke to the media on Monday.
But thanks to Kaylee Hartung and ESPN’s non-stop coverage of UK basketball, we now know that Ready will suit up tonight against the Cats. Hartung spoke to Coach Ray in a live SportsCenter interview from Starkville and Ray told her Ready will go, though he won’t be 100 percent.
Ready averages eight points, two assists and two rebounds this season in State’s backcourt.

Terrible coaching decision on this one. Your only shot to make the NCAA tournament is winning the SEC tourney at this point. Why waste a game with this kid if he’s not 100% right now? Rest him up for an SEC tourney run.

I agree Eleem. These teams will do anything to try to be the ones to knock off our Cats.

He could very easily reinjure his ankle and be done for the season. They really are rolling the dice with this decision.
