Unless Willis has done some kind of speedy school, he's only a sophomore this year!

I am guessing that Poythress will petition for an extra year of eligibility. I think he will stay next season and go pro, with one year left that he could use. I believe he is graduating in three years. He will be working towards his masters, if he stays next season.
Will Willie stay or go? I say he goes. But who knows?

I'm pretty sure Poythress already has another year of eligibility. In fact, I know he has. He's only a junior. I'm pretty sure that if he petitioned, he'd have TWO more years, after sitting out this year.

That is correct. He must petition at the end of this season, to have two years.
I am wondering if he will stay another tow years. We, the fans, would love to see him stay. I would think that if he comes back healthy, he will go after next season. [ 02-25-2015, 10:50 AM: Message edited by: boomdaddy ]

Since Poy played in less than 30 percent of the team’s games this season, he is eligible for a medical redshirt. He is on track to receive his undergraduate degree from Kentucky in May. That would give him 2 more years of eligibility and could work on his Masters.

Poy is the one that all the players still look up to for advice and did last season too. He is a special Cat.

Alex is a classy young man, I just hope he can recover through rehab and eventually get a chance at an NBA team.

Poy could have his Masters by the time he left if he stayed for his full eligibility.

The walk ons, but they still play a roll on the team. I'd bet if you ask them, they are happy to be here too! They put in as much time as the 2 platoons as well!

It's great that Cal does try to even up the unbalanced Caucasian-African American players on the team.
