I don't know why that is but foreign players many times are the better shooters.

That's because they grow up shooting instead of just dunking. Too many American kids put their energy into jumping and making athletic plays instead of honing their shooting skills. How many kids today know how to use the backboard? Not many from what I'm seeing. Great shooters like Kobe, Jordon, Bird and others use(d) the backboard to their advantage.
