Cats in first and getting stronger.
Kentucky started the season No. 1 in pretty much every major poll. A 32-point win over Kansas wasn't going to change that. Sure, the Wildcats struggled at home against Buffalo, but that rout of Kansas at the Champions Classic put fear in the hearts of teams around the country.
Which others, though, made a little noise early? Well, Duke looked impressive; Wisconsin, Arizona and Gonzaga, too.
The teams that haven't looked so hot? Yes, we're looking at you, Florida and VCU.
With holiday tournament title games still on the slate for this week and more out-of-conference challenges looming, this is just the beginning of what could be a volatile season in Power Rankings. Welcome to the first regular-season installment.

The 32 point win over Kansas is what really sticks out especially in a neutral arena.
