There is no doubt about it BBM is a special event and nothing comes close in college basketball.
SEC Network basketball analyst Sean Farnhan, who played at UCLA, says the atmosphere at UK’s Big Blue Madness — he was there for three days with ESPNU’s coverage — was unlike anything he had experienced before as a player or analyst.
“It was sensational, a circus, a concert, a rock star show,” Fernhan said Thursday. “Drake showing up was great. The energy in the building, you could tell that the players were feeding off it.
“It was something they were looking forward to and you could tell that by talking to them. Karl Towns talking about on recruiting visit he saw this and now he was a part of it. It really is the last moment of just fun before getting down to business and nowhere does it better than Kentucky.”
