That maybe a stretch but he sure is talented and is going to have a great year for the Cats.
Remember several months ago when one 2015 mock draft had Karl-Anthony Towns listed as a possible No. 1 pick in the draft.
Now two other well-known national experts — Chad Ford and Jeff Goodman — are on the Towns’ bandwagon after his play in the Bahamas.
“If Karl Towns plays like this all year, he’s got a shot at the No. 1 pick. 19 pts, 10 rebs, 3 asts vs. Chalons-Reims today. He’s special,” Ford said on Twitter.
Goodman was just as strong about Towns, who apparently will not play with the Dominican Republic national team as originally planned because of the time it would keep him away from UK.
“Its obviously early, but with no clear-cut No. 1 pick (as was case with Anthony Davis a couple years ago), Karl Towns is in conversation,” Goodman posted on Twitter.
