It's good news for sure as we need a knock down shooter for sure.
Summer rumors always are going to be part of Kentucky basketball. Like the rumor that was spreading earlier that incoming freshman Devin Booker was struggling in pick-up games against returning players.
CoachCal.com writer Eric Lindsey watched Monday’s practice and refuted that rumor.
“If that’s the case, he’s come a long way quickly. When the Cats went five-on-five, Booker hit the first two shots – both 3-pointers – and followed that up with a beautiful lob pass in transition for Poythress to dunk,” Lindsey wrote on CoachCal.com.
“After the first 3, Calipari stopped play to make sure Booker pointed to Andrew Harrison for making the first pass. It’s all a part of teaching them to play for each other. I, for one, think Booker will challenge for minutes at both the two and three.”
