Since Cal has been at Kentucky he has been great and never had a hint of impropriety however before getting here you have to admit he did some shady things. Pitino is Pitino and never liked him even when he was at Kentucky but I'm probably in the minority.

My question is why is Steve Alfors on this list?

It’s not unusual for critics to take shots at Kentucky coach John Calipari. I’ve even been known to question some of his decisions.

But answers.com — I have to admit I had never heard of the website — went a bit far by picking Calipari No. 1 on its list of most classless college basketball coaches.

The website posted this: “Who likes John Calipari? Pretty much only Kentucky fans. Coach Cal can coach and recruit, but he has questionable integrity. Calipari’s shady recruiting tactics are one thing. His constant feuds with opposing coaches (what’s up John Chaney?) are another. Calipari likes to tiptoe the legal line when it comes to recruiting.”

One, how old is the news with Chaney? Two, don’t most coaches tiptoe the legal line in recruiting but has Calipari been found guilty of NCAA violations himself? No. And I am guessing many Kentucky fans love his integrity and fundraising projects he’s done at UK.

But the website came with Louisville coach Rick Pitino at No. 2 and wrote:

“Rick Pitino did a heck of a job at Kentucky, leading the Wildcats to a 1996 national championship. A year later, he bolted for the Boston Celtics and found out Larry Bird wasn’t going to be “walking through those doors. So he came back to college and took a job with Kentucky’s hated rival – Louisville. Harsh. Oh, and let’s not forget Rick being an alleged adulterer…”

Numbers 3-10 are Bruce Pearl, Steve Alford, Bob Huggins, Frank Martin, Tim Floyd, Steve Fisher, Frank Haith and Dave Bliss.

I guess I'm naïve, but I honestly don't get it. I think it is more jealousy from opposing coaches and fans about his recruiting success than anything else that puts him on this list. Nothing ever proved about him doing anything dishonest or unethical.

Find it kind of interesting ole Roy Boy didn't make this list. Wait, there are no ACC coaches on that list. Imagine that.

Somebody with an ax to grind. Maybe a fan of one of the schools UK knocked out of the tourney this year, or a Memphis fan. When trout fishing in Arkansas, I've had more than one Memphis fan approach me and my UK cap, and announce that Cal is a scum bag for leaving there and bringing his recruits with him.

My guess is because he is one arrogant dude. Also the way he publicly defended his star player at Iowa Pierre Pierce who was being accussed of rape. He routinely proclaimed his players innocence even though the evidence was pretty damaging. He also went after the female coed and tried to persuade her to drop the case.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.
