...from the normal hectic pace of UK sports.

But, next month Football fires up, and I am excited to see how our new QB will fare. I have always followed UK football, but with very, very low expectations. Now, I find myself thinking that a 6-win season is a failure, when before it would be celebrated. Football is fun to watch.

And then... basketball. Lots of speculation about the quality of our opponents in the summer tournament we swept through, but guys, we looked pretty darn good. Can't wait to get things going in November.

I think all the guys on the BB team have the capability to provide something to our team effort. If not this year then next year. I'm still seeing some things about other recruits. There is a Croation 7 footer that is considering KY and the kid from KY that now holds the high school scoring record is also interested. Who knows for sure what the final roster will contain?

Looking forward to both football and basketball. My expectations for the football season have also gone up in recent seasons. I may be wrong but I give the credit to the coach. On the other hand, my expectations for basketball have headed in the other direction.

There is very little on TV this time of year that interests me. I’m not a baseball, soccer or racing fan so sports are blah for me right now. The news is too depressing. Thank goodness for “The days of our Lives”.

I'm really excited about the up coming football and basketball seasons. I used to have low expectations for the football team, but now anything less than eight or nine wins is a disappointment. I know that the quality of basketball opponents in Canada is not near as good as we're going to see but i'm really excited about what we seen.

Handycat I don't normally watch many sports throughout the summer but the Reds and Braves have been fun to watch this year.

question: is there any sport more boring than pickleball? you couldn't pay me to watch it.
