Topic: How much dose the kneeling still affect you

I'm still not ready to forgive Cal for letting them kneel. To me it showed disrespect to my Dad who fought in WW2 and my grandfathers who fought in WW1.
Also other than kneeling what have the players done for their cause since?
This is the main reason I don't clear my schedule for a Kentucky basketball anymore.

I think Cal really doesn't give a **** about what we fans feel. It pissed me off greatly that Cal succumbed to the woke BS and didn't teach those young men some truth and facts.
Considering saving $65 per month and not renewing my YouTubeTV sub for basketball season.

The kneeling thing no longer bothers me. I didn't like it, but I also believed if people ignored it, it would go away and it did. So I have gotten over my issues with it. I know that wokeness is going to continue to grow in that world though, so I am concluding that I can be a fan without supporting all the other stuff.

Good point, GA Cat.
I think my point is that Cal either totally doesn't understand his fan base, or he just doesn't care if he offends many of us.
It could very well be that he simply doesn't understand. He works in a uber-liberal bubble; in that regard, UK is like all other universities. He is surrounded by people for whom wokeness is "reality". He really needs to get out more and understand regular fans, instead of simply saying "you people are crazy".
