I hope that the other three teams aren't cupcakes. I hope that we win big, but get good work in.

Let's see: Dominican Republic U22 Nat. Team Aug. 10 at 7 pm SEC Network
Monterey Tech (Mexico) Aug. 11 7 pm SEC network
Carleton Univ. (Canada) Aug. 13 6 pm SEC network
Bahamas Nat. team Aug 14 noon SEC Network
They're probably not the Golden State Warriors, but it'll be good to get some team work in against another opponent early!

Another little something tonight, the Kentucky little league team is scheduled to play the Ohio team at 5:00 on ESPN. This is a regional game and a 2 and out tournament. They defeated Ohio already once earlier in the tournament 7-6 then lost to the Indiana team 3-1. The winner tonight plays Indiana tomorrow for the opportunity to play in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa August 17-28.
In my opinion this is one of the top sporting events each year. These kids play for the love of the game above anything else. They are of age 10-12. Just refreshing in this day and age.

CatFanRick, thanks for posting about Little League baseball game. I’m enjoying this more than anything I’ve seen since college basketball season ended.

.......and sometimes it's just those teams that have 1 or 2 12 year olds that are a good bit larger than your everyday 12 year olds that make the difference. Especially in the pitcher position. Don't know what we have this year but a good ways back Lexington had a great team with a couple who went on to the majors, a pitcher and catcher I believe.

For those of you who haven't seen this, it is moments like these that separate this event from what we have become accustomed to today.
Player hit by pitch.
